Thundermaster Bass

Contrary to popular belief, this bass was not forged by Odin and the lesser thunder gods in Valhalla. This instrument was built by us, mere mortals. Our goal was to make an ergonomic, comfortable, resonant bass guitar.

A plethora of options for fret board, neck and body wood configurations are available to make your instrument truly unique. We use a combination of tone woods in our instruments, primarily being Mahogany, Ash, Poplar, Ziricote, Bocote, Ebony, Rosewood, Walnut.

We use both locally sourced woods, and imported. All woods are kiln and air dried to varying degrees.

Our Thundermaster bass boasts a 34” scale length for excellent string tension, intonation and balanced bass/treble response.

Reverse headstock also helps with regard to string tension on the bass strings, and the eye-candy.

Standard body thickness in this model is 1.75”, although this can be modified as well.

Thundermaster Bass comes equipped with a thin “shred” neck profile. Neck profiles can be fully customized to customer specification.

We select all of our woods and hardware configurations for a good balance of increased mids and a great percussive attack and bottom end. With our standard and custom range of pickups at your disposal, we can shape each classic twang guitar tone into whatever you are aiming for.

Our thundermaster bass comes equipped with hipshot hardware. We only use high quality hardware machined in the U.S.A. Bridge Spacing can be customized, and other desired bass bridges can be used as dictated by our customer.

Our thundermaster bass comes stock with hipshot ultralite tuners. These are pretty kick-ass as they keep low weight, eliminating neck dive. These have got to be one of the most stable tuners we’ve ever used. These can be swapped out for whatever you tell us to.

All of our electronics are high quality made in the U.S.A. We use braided shield wiring, CTS custom potentiometers, pick-up switches and high quality oil-capacitors.

Thundermaster Bass comes stock with “P” style pickups. We use hand-wound and scatter-wound custom pickups. We offer virtually any custom set. We often use Bareknuckle Pickups and Porter Pickups.

We spray polyurethane, nitrocellulose, oil based, and wax finishes. High Gloss? No problem.

We use custom pickup sets from StringJoy or Cleartone.
